Located in the midwest area of Kyoto, Kameoka Basin is referred to as “Kyoto’s Kitchen”.
Kameoka Distillery is located in Kameoka Basin, rich with mountain groundwater and water sources coming from Hozu-gawa River and Katsura-gawa River, and often enveloped in a thick fog caused by fluctuations in temperatures between day and night.
For the main ingredient, purple sweet potato, Purple Sweet Lord grown in Kameoka is used.
Toji (master brewer) and Kurabito (brewing craftsman) who have skills of sake brewing apply delicate skills of sake brewing and bold recipe of shochu to craft shochu reflecting gorgeous and elegant culture of Kyoto.
